Hi,
I need help on concentrating when I am listening to my hyposis tape. I try but still cannot get hypnotized. Can anyone help?

I think problem is you are concentrate on your hope or expectation to hypnotized! so simply you don't let your mind to follow the instruction to go deeper!
just relax & don't try to do anything! just feel!

Almost everybody can be hypnotised.
The only exceptions are mentally retarded people, neurotics and psychotics.
Also - Intelligent people that have the ability to concentrate are easier to hypnotize.
I'm sure you can be Hypnotised, if you don't resist. |

i know what he is trying to say too... Like I had a hypnotist show at a dinner the other night and some volunteers went up, but my friend who didn't volunteer accidently got hypnotised in his chair. he was utterly bewildered when he woke up and hour and 45 min later after having done everything suggested during the show and he hadn;t realised he had been hypnotised and couldn;t remember anything....
sincet hen I have been trying ot find hypnosis MP3s and been listening to them but i never slip oput of it... i am allways 100% aware of what i am doing and completely un tranced.... |

Yes both HypnoDoc and drknight are correct plus when one try's too hard that will stop you also from achieving your goal. Just relax and (allow) it to happen.

Perhaps, like many people, your expectations of hypnosis are shaped by bad movies and TV sitcoms.

You should not fall asleep during the session - in fact you should be even more alert and aware than normal. Yes you will be relaxed but not in a sleepy way. Some people do fall asleep but that is ok too.
Do not expect so much in the way of feeling any differently - just relax and listen. Go with the flow as they say...

Well, when I am listening to it nothing is happening. I know this because I am still awake even though my eyes are closed and afterwards when it's over I really don't feel any different. I don't really know what to expect to happen I thought it would be like a dream or feel like I slept for 8 hrs. or somthing. But I follow everything the person on the tape says and I am not hesitant or afraid of going into trance or hypnosis so I thought it was lack of concentration or somthing even though I think I do a pretty good job at concentrating though. |
